As Sr VP of Finance, Billy is responsible for implementing and maintaining best practice business processes for GSC. He works closely with our team members and partners to understand their challenges and provide process-driven solutions that drive profitable growth. Billy is playing a leading role in guiding the change management process, as we acquire and integrate new operations within GSC. He does the detailed legwork required to analyze and assess the financials, and then recommend the best way to structure the acquisition. As we’ve grown, he has been largely responsible for implementing processes and systems created to ensure consistency across every position, and to drive accountability and performance.
A retired U.S. Naval Communications Chief with over 35 years of experience in various IT disciplines, Mr. Lewis is recognized as one of the outstanding leaders in his field. He has a wide range of government and commercial expertise in the communications arena. He has held progressive management roles in training, operations, and program management, supporting end customers such as BCIT (Baltimore City Information Technology), State of Maryland Department of Human Resources and the Department of Defense (DoD), where he was responsible for maintaining exceptional service while providing cutting edge solutions for these programs.
Mr. Lewis was responsible for ensuring that his team numbering upwards of 300 personnel, maintained revenue generation in excess of $300 million. Two of the major programs that were managed by Mr. Lewis were the U.S. Army’s SNAP (SIPR NIPR Access Point) VSAT program, and the USMC VSAT program (formerly known as SWAN) Support Wide Area Network.
Mr. Lewis is a member of the Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association (AFCEA), National Contract Management Association (NCMA) and the United States Naval Institute.
